SOMNet

Swedish Oral Medicine Web (SOMWeb) is an online system built to support a distributed oral medicine community of practice called SOMNet. The focus of the system is to support the knowledge sharing and learning activities, which has existed for over ten years, by providing infrastructure for online meetings where cases are presented and discussed. SOMWeb uses the Semantic Web technologies of the Web Ontology Language (OWL) and Resource Description Framework (RDF) to represent examination templates and value lists used for case entry, individual examinations that constitute a case and community resources.

Clinical conferences are held the first Wednesday every month between 15.00 to 16.00 (CET). The conferences are free of charge, except for the telephone costs, but participants are encourage to be members of SOMS. For further information, please visit SOMNet and SOMS.
